In 1997 Colombia debuted their new kits and only used them for a few months for the Copa America, handful of friendlies and a few CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying matches. Strangely later that year, they went back to use the older kits that they wore through the 1994 World Cup to the 1996 Season.
